From service to community.

After retiring from the U.S. Army as a Lieutenant Colonel in 1972, Frank A. Turman earned his real estate license and joined Carter Realty. He later purchased the firm and renamed it Turman Realty Company.

A business the family grew together.

His son, retired Lt. Col. William E. Turman, joined in 1991 and remains Associate Broker. Siblings Frankie and Robert also served as Associate Brokers.

Frank’s wife, Edna, welcomed visitors as receptionist for decades. Daughter-in-law Dixie was Sales Secretary at the former North Office, while grandchildren helped during summers and holidays.

Learning from the beginning.

Granddaughter Shannon Rowe and her husband, Jonathan, moved to Columbus in 2018 to learn the business alongside Frank.

The legacy continues.

In May 2025, Shannon became Owner and Broker, beginning Turman’s third generation of leadership. She oversees office, legal and financial operations; Jonathan leads field operations and construction.

Making the search easier.

Turman launched a new website and digital tools to help renters find their next home. Interactive listings, neighborhood guides and an affordability calculator make it easier to explore available homes and choose a place that fits.
